Cheryl Fernandez – Versini Vogue 100 Gala Make-up Tutorial
Today I am going to show you how to copy Cheryl’s gothic-glam make-up look that she wore to the 2016 Vogue 100 Gala.
Step 1
Start off by applying your foundation, concealer and powder as normal, leaving the eyelid powder-free.
Step 2
Next up, contour your face! I used the darkest shade from Barry M’s Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit, and applied it in the hollows of my cheeks starting from the top of my ears, down to the area that is level to the outer corner of my eyes. I also brought it up to my temples, down the sides and on the underside of my nose, and right under my bottom lip.
Step 3
For highlighting I used an eye shadow called ‘Ice White’ from the Golden Brown palette by The Body Shop. I popped this on the tops of my cheekbones, the middle of my forehead, down the bridge of my nose, just above my cupids bow and then finally on the centre of my chin.
Step 4
Here I applied Illamasqua’s Powder Blusher in Expose on the apples of my cheeks, bringing it up ever so slightly towards my temples.
Step 5
To fill in my brows I used the Kiko Precision Eyebrow Pencil in 01.
Step 6
For eye primer, I took Illamasqua’s Vintage Metallix in Embellish and applied it all over my lid.
Step 7
Using ‘Suspect’ from the Naked2 palette by Urban Decay, I popped this in the inner corner of my lid.
Step 8
Next, using ‘Chocolate Brown’ from the same Golden Brown palette by The Body Shop, I applied this to the outer corner of my lid and into my crease.
Step 9
Here I took Collection’s ‘4 Dazzling Brown’ from their All About the Eyes palette and applied it to my lower lash line and on the centre of my lid.
Step 10
Too Faced ‘Salted Caramel’ from their Chocolate Bar palette was my transition shade, applying this just above my crease to help blend out ‘Chocolate Brown’.
Step 11
For eye liner I opted with the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero, and applied it to my upper lash line and on my water line.
Step 12
Apply a couple of coats of mascara to your top and bottom lashes. I went for Collection Super Size Mascara in ’17 Ultra Black’.
Step 13
Cheryl wore a dark browny-red lip for this look, so I had to do a little layering. First off, I applied both the Lip Liner and the Matte Liquid Lipstick from Kylie Cosmetics’ True Brown K Lip Kit.
Step 14
To add a little bit of red to my lips, I applied ‘Growl’ Lipstick by Illamasqua. Then to finish off the look, I popped on a tiny bit of the clear Bourjois 3D Effet Lipgloss.
